15. Nico Muhly and Shoplifter – The Kitchen
Abstract performance art show previewing Muhly’s newest album “Mothertongue,” featuring a human bone tee-pee and a guy singing from a (fake) horse. Pay attention, this might come up later.
20 Favorite Albums of 2008
Everyone says “Top” or “Best” before their lists. I haven’t been paying attention enough, so here are my favorites:
1. of Montreal – Skeletal Lamping
Most of these lists top off with Fleet Foxes. For everyone bored by them, this is the opposite.
2. TV on the Radio – Dear Science,
TVOTR has been one of those bands you’re “supposed to like” for years. This album fulfills that promise.
