Super Bowl of Wings

Being from Pittsburgh, Sunday is a big day for me obviously. It’s hard for me to really show off my hometown spirit for a couple reasons:
1. My hometown spirit is usually just shown through trivia about movies shot in the area
2. If I had more spirit I may not have bolted at the first chance
3. I don’t own any Steelers clothing and/or a Terrible Towel (or a Terrible ShamWow)
Even our President, born on the other side of the world as Pittsburgh, might be showing more Steelers support than I am.
So I’m going to make up for it with food. Eating while in Pittsubrgh can be tough, especially if you’re trying to be healthy (sometimes menus don’t mention that you salad will come with fries on top). But, every once in a while a Pittsburgh favorite can be amazing.
I’ve ordered 4 sauces from Quaker Steak & Lube, the world’s greatest chicken wing restaurant for our Super Bowl gathering. A quick rundown:
Classic Medium Wing Sauce
Standard wing sauce, but better
Golden Garlic Wing Sauce
I remember this being good, but it’s been a while. I would have picked Honey Mustard.
Louisana Licker Wing Sauce
From the online store: “Quaker Steak & Lube Louisiana Lickers is a delicious blend of hot, cajun, garlic, and BBQ. It goes great with wings, chicken, burgers, seafood & ribs, and just about anything else!”
Arizona Ranch Wing Sauce
Was this a mistake? We are playing the Cardinals after all. Let’s just say this was meant to be insulting to them.
Very excited for the big day, check out our last two Burghcasts if you are too.
